Every once in a while, there is a product that not only meets your expectations, but exceeds it. Recently, my 3 year old received this "Reusable Sticker Pad" made by Melissa & Doug. We have had poor luck with sticker books in the past, that even when they claim to be repositionable stickers, or reusable stickers, it is not always so, at least not by little hands. But since I have, overall, had good experiences with Melissa & Doug products with all of my kids, I thought they might have a higher quality product.
I was right. Their claim that the stickers can be repositioned holds true. They are less like stickers, and more like static clings. Which is wonderful in that;
- They don't stick to hands, or fold over and stick to themselves, or to any other surfaces.
- They don't collect dust/dirt and loose their "stick". They can be used, reused and used again and ...
- The stickers wont rip. Stickers that have contour can often tear on their inside corners, these however are plastic-like and flexible, and have not tore on us even once.
There was only one short fall, and it was easy to solve. My daughter is 3, and is at an age where she wants to do everything herself. She has little hands and at one point had a tough time removing one of the stickers from a sticker page, resulting in a rip of the sticker page backer. The sticker came out in one nice piece, but the backer was torn thin.
This was of course a minor issue, and even still was easy to solve. On the other pages, I removed the outside border on the sticker pages, allowing for easier handling of the remaining stickers.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product and the longevity of the stickers.
